The Best Things I’ve Ever Made – No Fuss Vegan Edition

I first wanted to take a moment to apologize – I know that I said I was going to post a recipe this week!  Unfortunately the first semester of my senior year ended up being a total nightmare (so far)! However, I’m very optimistic for the things that are coming this year and for The No Fuss Vegan once I am able to settle in a little bit!

We just hit 1,000 fans on The No Fuss Vegan Facebook Page which is so freakin’ exciting – and it’s because you guys have been so amazingly awesome and supportive of my journey!  I just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU!

Since I’m so swamped right now and I don’t have a recipe ready – I decided to share the best recipes as chosen by their popularity on the site, and share the 5 best things I’ve ever made from other Vegan Bloggers who rock!

1. Hawaiian Portobello Burgers

These were one of the first recipes I featured on my site that had a nice picture that got featured by multiple food sites – and everyone loved the heck out of them too!  These are amazing juicy burgers that are sure to be real crowd pleasers whether for a big BBQ or for a simple dinner!  Just because you go vegan doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy a nice burger!

2. Crockpot Mac and Cheese

When I first made this – it was crockpot mac and cheese!  However, many reports back from people enjoying it have shown that it can be baked or even made on the stove top!  It’s got a cheesey zing and a little secret ingredient to spice it up and make it irresistible!  You won’t believe there isn’t any dairy in it!

3. Cauliflower Taco Bites

The best part about these is that they are super fun to make and they are a wonderful, poppable, alternative to chicken wings!  All the flavor and appetizer feel without any of the guilt, meat, or sugar – YES PLEASE!

 4. Chocolate Coconut Pancakes

Sometimes, not too often, I crave something that is not so vegan friendly.  Not necessarily the item itself but the flavor combo.  And recently, I’ve been thinking about Almond Joys A LOT, like all the time – so I created these chocolate coconut pancakes to quench my need for almond joys!  It ended up working pretty darn well, so this recipe was a definite win!

5. Buffalo Ranch Dip

After 2 years as a vegan I couldn’t stop running into buffalo chicken dip at every turn!  I decided to was time to veganize it or die – and so I did!  This was one of my most well reviewed recipes on my Facebook page, and on my Pinterest!  I hope you enjoy it too!

1. Oh She Glows – Calui-power Fettuccine Alfredo

The first time I made this it was pretty good – the second time I made it I had it down to a science, it took 15 minutes and I added Beyond Meat Chicken.  I felt like I was eating Chicken Alfredo – without all the gross badness haha!  I recommend that you give this a try if you’re missing the creamy and rich pastas in your life!

2. Minimalist Baker – Vegan Queso Dip

Four words, Low-Fat Nut-Free!  Okay seriously this is one of the best vegan cheese dips I have ever made and on top of that it doesn’t have any nuts in it, so it’s low fat and amazing!  If you’re looking for a low cal, wonderful, vegan friendly cheese dip – you’ve found it!

3. The Vegan Stoner – Peanut Stew

This meal is a win for me because it’s unique and tasty – plus you can make it in a crockpot in minutes and leave it for a little while to take care of itself – it’s a total win in my book!  Serve it over a bed rice and enjoy for days, so good!

4. The Honour System – Creamy Cilantro Lime Dressing

Basically tastes like a cilantro RANCH – ‘nough said!

5. Kitchen GRRRLS Baked Sriracha Tofu

After discovering the wonder that is Sriracha sauce and the wonder of baked tofu – this recipe was seriously a blessing!  I can’t even put into words how awesome spicy, salty, chew, crunchy tofu is!  If you haven’t been able to find a “meaty” texture to satisfy you – this is going to do it!

    Great post! That IS a great picture of the portobello burger. And I love that queso dip as well. I’ve been following your posts on the Plant Based Junkies FB page…everything looks great. I’ve got to get my hands on some jackfruit!
